Veronica Vides Installations
Veronica Vides was born in El Salvador in 1970. She studied Graphic Deisgn in the University jose Mathias Delgado in San Salvador. She has received various awards and funds for her work and she has exhibited individually and collectivelly in Latin America, Australia and the U.S.A. An inspiring artist whose work reflects the intense trauma of her country through the twelve year civil war of her land. Strong imagery that is both ephemeral and yet deeply present. She uses found materials and creates allegories that inspire.
Verónica has been developing her ideas using industrial and construction residual material produced by humans. There is a clear reference to nature in the three dimensional forms that she creates…patterns found in nature that constantly repeat themselves.
A deep wound transcends and the plight of El Salvador for social justice is deeply felt.
